Future is MultiChain & the gearwheels for that MultiChain/CrossChain machine needs to be built.

Rootstock is connected to Wormhole interoperability network which means we are now capable of making things MultiChain/CrossChain in different fronts at Rootstock.

Starting September 2024, we started a research on different interop frameworks with a major focus on Wormhole (Message relaying, NTT & recently Composable Intents). After having a thorough research on technical & business areas, we discovered the need for creating a bridge for ERC-721 & ERC-1155 either for the existing tokens, or the upcoming ones (to make them Multichain since day 0).

The development has been started, architectural docs are almost ready & we're keeping an eye (a laser focused one!) on Rootstock to have Bitcoin CrossChain/MultiChain as well. The project is a heavy one & there are plenty of milestone that needs to be reached on time. We wanted to apply to the sixth wave of RSK 2024 grants, but were not ready enough, so decided to postpone grant applications up until a time that we're sure we can commit to our promises & deliver accordingly with reputable/tangible deliverables. Now, with the announcement of D_D Rootstock grants, we're starting to apply for the grants.

The expected deliverable for this application, on Nov. 22, would be a working version of NNFTT for a branch of new NFTs(ERC-721).
